Konstantin Starotchetov - the famous "enfant terrible" of actual Russian art - from the very beginning chose irony as the starting point of his creativity. Since the end of the 1970s as part of the group «Mukhomory», he has been engaged in what is popularly called «foolishness». The band arranged cheerful artistic vernissages, concerts and even recorded «Golden Disc» with their own lyrics, which the participants performed on melodies of songs of foreign and Russian pop. The whole activity of «fly-agaric» was under the slogan: «Our main work is our existence». They were able to turn their lives into a full-blown happening, a breath of fresh air for the unofficial arts, perhaps because they were closer and more understandable than the youth, or because they had never been more amused by the public with foolery. It is not without reason that one of the credos of «fly-agaric» sounded as «for us good that has not yet become art».
