An exhibition of works by Solomon Boim was presented for the first time at the Kaliningrad History and Art Museum

The Kaliningrad History and Art Museum presented for the first time an exhibition of works by Solomon Boim, prepared for the artist’s 120th birthday.

The exposition contains unique watercolors with views of Moscow and Leningrad, portraits of Soviet people, familiar landscapes of the Baltic.

Most of the series of watercolors presented at the exhibition was purchased in the United States from a Russian-American collector and returned to Russia by a philanthropist, the initiator of the construction of the Museum of Russian Painting in Kaliningrad, Rustam Aliyev.

Solomon Boim (1899–1978) is an outstanding Russian artist, graphic artist, and illustrator. During the Great Patriotic War, he was the chief artist of the Political Directorate of the Baltic Fleet.
